Transcript Request Information
The State of Rhode Island is under a Stay at Home order by the Governor. All transcripts will need to be requested via Option 1. For students that attended or graduated in Classes from 1989 and all years prior, include an email address on your transcript request form, indicating where your transcript can be sent via a secure, encrypted email.
Transcript Ordering Options:
Providence College offers multiple options for the ordering and delivery of transcripts for current and former students. Transcripts are free of charge, with the exception of E-Transcripts. This service has a charge of $3.50 per recipient.
Option 1: E-Transcript – Providence College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide a 24/7 transcript ordering service to our current and former students.
Please Note: E-Transcript Delivery is ONLY available to students enrolled since 1988.
Option 2: CyberFriar – Username and password are necessary to access our system, for assistance call 401-865-1033.
Option 3: Email – firstname.lastname@example.org and attach a completed Transcript Request Form, or provide a written document with the required information, listed at the bottom of the page. All requests via email must come from a recognizable email address (this means the student’s name must be part of the email address).
Option 4: Fax – a completed Transcript Request Form, or provide a written document with the required information, listed at the bottom of the page, to 401-865-1899. Follow up with a phone call to 401-865-1033 to confirm delivery.

Transcripts will not be issued to students with holds on their records until all requirements have been met. All transcript requests must be accompanied by an authorized signature of the requestor.
Due to the high volume of requests, there is a limit of 5 transcripts per month.
We do not accept telephone requests, nor will we email or fax transcripts from this office.
Transcript requests are processed in the order in which they are received. The time required for preparation and mailing of transcripts varies; please allow 3-5 business days for processing. During registration, the start of a new semester, or at the end of grading periods, there may be a delay of several days. Please order ahead of time to meet all deadlines.
If you are a current student and want the semester grades to appear on your transcript, please select the “hold for grades” option. Transcripts with final grades will be ready approximately 3 weeks after the end of the semester.
When requesting transcripts via Email, Fax, Mail or In Person, you must submit a completed Transcript Request Form, or provide a written document that lists the following information.
Transcript Requests should include your:
- Current Name (First, Middle, Last)
- Any Other Names(s) you held while attending (ex: Maiden Name)
- Current Address
- Date of Birth
- Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Year of Graduation
- Dates of Attendance
- Number of Copies Needed
- Address(es) Where the Transcript(s) is (are) to be Sent
- Handwritten Signature
